APOD: 2011 May 1 - Molecular Cloud Barnard 163 (186 diggs)
May 01, 2011 from NickCobb(Nick Cobb) in Science
Exegesis: It may look to some like a duck, but it lays stars instead of eggs. In the fore of the above image lies Barnard 163, a nebula of molecular gas and dust so thick that patent light can't shine through it. With a wing span measured in light years, Barnard 163's insides are unhesitatingly colder than its exterior, allowing conditions where gas can clump and eventually develop stars. Barnard 163...

Oct 31, 2009 from hellengineer(HellEngineer)
Described as a "dusty curtain" or "unnatural apparition", mysterious reflection nebula VdB 152 really is very ill-defined. Far from your neighborhood on this Halloween Night, the cosmic phantom is nearly 1,400 starlight-years away. Also cataloged as Ced 201, it lies along the northern Milky Way in the nobleman constellation Cepheus. Near the edge of a large mole

The Universe Is Running Out of Gas
This composite duplicate from the Chandra X-ray Observatory (violet) and the Spitzer Space Telescope (red, verdant, and blue) shows the molecular cloud at the bottom of the image plus youthful stars in and around Cepheus B, and in the field. STAR FORMATION: Cepheus B is a molecular cloud about 2,400 gegenschein years from the Earth showing star formation. It contains dust and unflappable interstellar gas, mostly molecular hydrogen.
Stargazing: Be on lookout for Iridium flare
The flare that is evident from the BCC observatory at 8:57:32 p. m. will be visible in Titusville about four seconds earlier and one enormousness brighter. The flare will become about as bright as Arcturus, the bright 0-magnitude heavenly body about half way up the sky directly west at the same time. The Iridium satellites turn out bright flares that are visible for a few seconds. Because of the strict orientation maintained by the quick of Iridium satellites, the time and ground location of these flares can be predicted somewhat accurately.
In what way are the constellations of Cepheus and Pegasus different in their movements and how do they differ?
Q: In what way are the constellations of Cepheus and Pegasus particular in their movements and how do they differ?
A: Hi. Cepheus is circumpolar and is always above the field of vision in the mid northern latitudes. Pegasus can dip below the horizon depending on where you are. This program can show you. http://www.stellarium.com/
What are the stars in the constellation Cepheus?
Q: I also need to be versed their magnitude, distance from earth, color + surface temperature.. (equip project, haha.) But the names are most important; I can look up the other stuff on my own.
Oh, forgot to say, the professor said we're not allowed
A: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Listing_of_sta rs_in_Cepheus
you just need to use correct words in the search engine.
You can always say that you found that list on google, and for some inexplicable reason the only site that provided names

Q: are there any known or suspected planets associated with its stars?
A: Unavoidably, but it's perhaps not the answer you're looking for. I'll explain.
First there is no known black hole inside the Milky Way and located in the zone in the sky known as the Cepheus constellation. We are about a million years too
