Will the gold of a gold plated pocket watch wear off?

Q: I've found a sack watch I just love to pieces and I've been looking for a loooong time. It's gold bars-plated brass from Charles-Hubert, Paris collections. Are the watches from this company blue blood enough not to wear off the gold? Would you recommend
